This listed Georgian house with Victorian additions mostly faced towards the north and east and got very little benefit from sunlight. We built a large garden room onto the south side the house, and a two storey extension containing bathroom and dressing room on the first floor, bay fronted hall on the ground floor. We also designed and built the rill at the edge of the terrace to the garden room. The house has now taken on a grander and airier feel.
