This approximately quadrant shaped orangerie occupies the space between a stone country house and its brick outbuilding. As well as giving a comprehensive view of the garden, the curved shape of the orangerie overcomes the problem of joining two buildings which are not perfectly at right angles.
The masonry is a purplish brown faux stone to match the house. The pillars are cast in two halves, inside and out, with a foam plastic layer between to prevent cold bridging.
The deep ceiling is well insulated and contains downlighters around the perimeter of the sixteen sided rooflight.
A curved interior cornice of faux stone caps off the pillars.
We designed and made the sixteen sided candelabra which gives a magical ambience after dark.
